Using multiple probabilistic hypothesis for programming one and two hand manipulation by demonstration

چکیده
This Paper presents improvements done to a Programming by Demonstration(PbD)system in order to handle complex one and two hand manipulations. In order to do this, functional roles were added to the systems knowledge base. According to them a probability density function expressing the relationship between the manipulated objects has been set up. Since one object can fulfill several functional roles in different contexts multiple hypothesis are considered. This enables the system to detect in a more reliable way the goals and the sub goals of a human demonstrated task. Further it is pointed out how this goals can be reached by setting up a sequence of elemental actions, how these are generated and represented symbolically. Such a representation is important in order to build up complex tasks consisting of several subtasks and skills. Finally an experimental setup is presented in which household task like laying a table, pouring a glass of water, handling work tools can be understood, learned and generalized by the PbD system.

Planning and Control of Two-Link Rigid Flexible Manipulators in Dynamic Object Manipulation Missions
This research focuses on proposing an optimal trajectory planning and control method of two link rigid-flexible manipulators (TLRFM) for Dynamic Object Manipulation (DOM) missions. For the first time, achievement of DOM task using a rotating one flexible link robot was taken into account in [20]. The authors do not aim to contribute on either trajectory tracking or vibration control of the End-...
متن کاملA human-based genetic algorithm applied to the problem of learning in-hand manipulation tasks
The in-hand manipulation problem with anthropomorphic robotic hands constitutes a challenging area of research. While imitation learning and programming by demonstration have demonstrated to help in this problem, other supervised learning techniques providing more interactivity between an expert teacher and the robot have several advantages. The humanbased genetic algorithm is able to enhance s...

One of the important issues in designing a brain-computer interface system is to select the type of mental activity to be imagined. In some of these systems, mental activity varies with user intent and action that must be controlled by the brain-computer system, and in a number of other signals, the received signals contain the same activity-related mental activity that should be performed by t...
متن کاملDexterous Manipulation Planning from Human Demonstration
In recent years, many multi-finger robotic hands have been designed and developed in order to emulate a human hand. The human hand has many sophisticated a lot of complicated dexterous skills that human themselves sometimes did not notice, for example an ability to grasp and manipulate tiny objects, a capability to regrasp an object without releasing and so on. To mimic or imitate these kind of...
متن کاملInteractive multiple objective programming in optimization of the fully fuzzy quadratic programming problems
In this paper, a quadratic programming (FFQP) problem is considered in which all of the cost coefficients, constraints coefficients, and right hand side of the constraints are characterized by L-R fuzzy numbers. Through this paper, the concept of α- level of fuzzy numbers for the objective function, and the order relations on the fuzzy numbers for the constraints are considered. To optimize th...
